This readme covers installing TCIWorks and setting up a TCIWorks database on your computer. Installing TCIWorks ***Warning*** If at any stage during the install your firewall or virus checker prompts you for action, be sure to press permit/allow or the appropriate action to allow TCIWorks to run. It may mention TCIWorks, Java or Java Web Start. ***Warning*** To install TCIWorks visit www.tciworks.inf/JWS. Click the "Launch Application" link. A dialog box may appear asking you how to open index.jnlp. If so, select the option to "Open With->Java(TM) Web Start Launcher". Java Web Start will now install TCIWorks. You may be asked if you wish to install shortcuts, choose as you wish but it is strongly advised that you answer yes. After the installation is complete TCIWorks will start. To be able to use TCIWorks you will need to create a TCIWorks project which will create a database on a MySQL server running on your computer. Start this process by clicking the "Create TCIWorks Project" button at the bottom left of the window. Follow the prompts, if MySQL is not installed let TCIWorks install and configure it for you. After TCIWorks has created the new project you will see four buttons on the bottom of the window. On the off-chance that this does not happen, close TCIWorks and launch it from your desktop shortcut. You can now add patients etc. Explore and enjoy. Brought to you by the TCIWorks team.
